In this magical, family-friendly session, youโll create your own glowing lantern using a glass jam jar and a mix of decorative materials.
Choose your theme โ will it be a dragon, fairy, mermaid, phoenix, wolf, or another mystical creature of your imagination?
Using a variety of materials, youโll explore how to:
โจ Choose your creature silhouette using card
โจ Layer tissue papers to create colour and glow
โจ Add sparkle with glitter and decorative details
โจ Embellish your jar with imitation flowers, ribbons, strings, and charms
โจ Bring your lantern to life with fairy lights or a battery-powered tea light
As the light shines through, your creature will appear glowing from within โ creating a truly enchanting effect.
