💖 Family Creative Session – “Mini Mermaid Workshop”
Join Toni from Easely Does It for a magical, hands-on family workshop designed for children aged 6+ and their grown-ups.
Easely Does It family workshops are all about making memories and creating together. In this enchanting under-the-sea themed session, you’ll create your very own beautiful mermaid using a wonderful selection of colourful craft materials and decorative treasures.
Children will design and decorate a charming mermaid character using soft wool, colourful ribbons, wooden beads, pipe cleaners and a variety of magical embellishments. With plenty of creative freedom, each mermaid can be completely unique, from flowing rainbow hair to sparkling ocean-inspired accessories.
Once your mermaid is assembled, it’s time to dress her up with beautiful flowers, beads, shells and decorative details to create a truly magical underwater friend.
🧜♀️ During the workshop you’ll:
✨ Create your own unique mermaid character
✨ Use wool to design flowing mermaid hair
✨ Add colourful ribbons, wooden beads and pipe cleaners
✨ Decorate your mermaid with flowers, shells and ocean treasures
✨ Explore colour, texture and imaginative design
✨ Take home a beautiful handmade mermaid keepsake
Each child will leave with a fully finished mermaid ready to display at home or treasure as a special handmade creation.
The result is a magical keepsake full of personality, creativity and sparkle — perfect for any child who loves mermaids, the ocean and imaginative crafting. 💖✨
No previous crafting experience is needed, and all materials are provided.

Your workshop takes place at the historic Hughenden Estate, once home to Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli and later a secret WWII map-making base.
Surrounded by beautiful woodland, gardens and rolling countryside, Hughenden provides the perfect setting for a relaxed and creative family morning. 🌳✨

You’re also welcome to explore the house and gardens after your session — free for National Trust members, or payable separately for non-members.
🚗 Arrival Details
Please arrive by 10:00 AM and park in the visitors’ car park.
Please note: the path from the car park is long and uneven in places.
Head to Visitor Reception, where a team member will meet you and guide you to the workshop space.
Take a moment to enjoy the beautiful surroundings before we begin.
