💚 Family Creative Session – “Dragon Name Plaque”
Join Toni from Easely Does It for a magical, hands-on family workshop designed for children aged 6+ and their grown-ups.
Easely Does It family workshops are about making memories and creating art together. In this exciting fantasy-themed session, you’ll create your very own personalised dragon name plaque using lightweight foam clay and magical decorative finishes.
Children will learn how to shape and sculpt a friendly dragon from colourful foam clay before adding it to a wooden name plaque featuring their chosen name. We’ll explore simple colour-blending techniques to create beautiful ombré effects, giving each dragon a unique and enchanting look.
To finish, we’ll add shimmering mica powders for an extra touch of sparkle and magic, creating a beautiful keepsake perfect for displaying on a bedroom door or wall.
🐉 During the workshop you’ll:
✨ Learn how to sculpt a dragon using soft foam clay
✨ Create beautiful ombré colour blends and magical effects
✨ Personalise your plaque with your own name
✨ Add decorative details including scales, wings and dragon features
✨ Finish with shimmering mica powders for a magical sparkle

Each child will leave with a fully finished personalised plaque ready to display at home.

No previous crafting experience is needed, and all materials are provided.

Your workshop takes place at the historic Hughenden Estate, once home to Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli and later a secret WWII map-making base.
Surrounded by beautiful woodland, gardens and rolling countryside, Hughenden provides the perfect setting for a relaxed and creative family morning. 🌳✨

You’re also welcome to explore the house and gardens after your session — free for National Trust members, or payable separately for non-members.
🚗 Arrival Details
Please arrive by 10:00 AM and park in the visitors’ car park.
Please note: the path from the car park is long and uneven in places.
Head to Visitor Reception, where a team member will meet you and guide you to the workshop space.
