💛 Family Painting Session – “Spike the Hedgehog”

Join Toni from Easely Does It for a delightful family-friendly acrylic painting workshop inspired by one of Britain’s best-loved woodland animals.

In this fun step-by-step session, children and adults will paint Spike the Hedgehog — an adorable hedgehog nestled amongst a colourful display of blooming flowers and garden foliage. Full of personality, texture, and vibrant colours, this charming artwork celebrates nature and is sure to bring smiles all round.

Working on an 8″ × 10″ stretched canvas, families will explore how to:

✨ Paint an adorable hedgehog using simple shapes and easy techniques
✨ Create soft spines, fluffy fur, and expressive features
✨ Paint beautiful flowers in vibrant seasonal colours
✨ Add highlights, shadows, and texture to bring Spike to life
✨ Create a colourful woodland-inspired background

No painting experience is needed — Toni will guide everyone through each stage with easy-to-follow demonstrations and plenty of encouragement, helping both adults and children create a masterpiece they’ll be proud to display. 🎨🦔🌸

All materials are included — simply bring your imagination and enjoy a fun creative adventure together.

Your workshop takes place at the historic Hughenden Estate, once home to Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli and later a secret WWII map-making base.

Surrounded by beautiful woodland, gardens, and rolling countryside, Hughenden provides the perfect setting for this family painting experience. 🌳✨

You’re also welcome to explore the house and gardens after your session — free for National Trust members or payable separately for non-members.

🚗 Arrival Details

Please arrive by 10:00 AM and park in the visitors’ car park.

Please note: the path from the car park to the workshop location is long and uneven in places.

Head to Visitor Reception, where a member of the team will meet you and guide you to the workshop space.

Take a moment to enjoy the beautiful surroundings before we begin.
